Boards, studs, and panels use different measures. Board feet describe solid lumber volume, framing estimates the pieces in a wall, and plywood starts with sheet coverage and layout. Pick the measure that matches your order.

Before you order
Use board feet for solid lumber, the framing calculator for wall members, and the plywood calculator for sheet materials. Square feet and board feet are not interchangeable.
A named lumber size may differ from its finished dimensions. Enter the dimensions the tool requests and confirm available stock lengths, panel sizes, and product thicknesses.
Openings, stock lengths, and reusable offcuts affect piece counts. Review the layout and the waste assumptions before applying your supplier’s prices.
For a full deck or fence, use its project calculator first. Use the lumber tools for a separate board or panel takeoff without counting the same materials twice.
